About Elise
Who am I?
I’m Elise Fee, an Accelerated Breakthrough Coach in the northern VA/Washington DC metro region. I work with individuals who have a high standard of excellence for themselves and their lives, yet still have one or more areas where they struggle. Together, we examine their blind spots and strengths to pull them onto their path and expand what’s possible for them to achieve and experience in life.
Why do I do what I do?
For most of my life, I depended on people who hurt me. I kept looking to others for support and love to fill a hole inside me.
Eventually, I gave up and realized that it had to come from me first. I used to think self-love was a superficial concept that no one really had. But when the pain got bad enough, I had no other option than to find some love inside of myself.
What I found was miraculous. When my love turned inward, those who could love me in a healthy way showed up. It had to start with me. If the pain and loneliness hadn’t been so bad, I may have never made this shift.
At this point, I realized that lack of self-love was a human epidemic, and it had now become my mission and purpose in life. Self-love, as cheesy as it may sound, can be experienced for everyone who is willing to learn how to love themself first.
Since becoming an Accelerated Breakthrough Coach, I’ve written a book called The Spiritual Human — a guide to Life on Earth. It’s a handbook for living happily and peacefully. And I’ve been able to connect with thousands through my blog and online interactions.

How did I get here?
Before age 30, I hit many of my external goals. I was the VP of an international company, was working on my MBA, sat on a non-profit board, and held positions in women’s networking groups. I was a manic overachiever who felt empty inside.
When something was accomplished, I couldn’t even celebrate it. I was focused on what was next. Eventually, major depression crept in and I couldn’t even brush my teeth in the morning, let alone accomplish everything on my long to-do list.
Like many of us in depression, spiritual books became my fuel. I became somewhat of a self-help junkie. One day, I met a couple who were leaders in the spiritual development field. The way they spoke to me, looked at me, accepted and loved me, not only for who I was in the moment, but also for where I was going and what I was capable of becoming — well it just blew me away!
A brilliant light was rekindled in me — and it hasn’t gone out since. In fact, it roared to life after I learned how to trust it and follow it.
Although I don’t struggle like I did back in the day, I remember vividly what it’s like to feel empty inside, to not know what it means to like myself, let alone love myself. I remember what it’s like to experience life as a never-ending roller coaster of highs and lows, with few peaceful times. And I recall what it’s like to need validation and confirmation of who I am from others, because I didn’t know who I was myself.
Today, I can choose when to be irritated and when to step out of it. I don’t avoid human emotions or try to rise above them. I’m aware and conscious of the choices in front of me…and I love experiencing and expressing a variety of emotions.

What’s my approach?
Even though I was feeling seen and loved, I still had some skepticism about working with a teacher so I watched like a hawk for them to make a misstep. I came to realize that while very few mentors are completely authentic and walk their talk; those who are taste the full sweetness of life and are capable of taking others to that same place.
Any time I came across a teacher or guru who “prescribed a way,” I would have an allergic reaction. I discovered there is no one path. Modern-day personal development is a creative process of following what lights us up individually.
I also noticed that with any kind of inner work, it’s common to seek more training, more information and more inspiration. There’s merit to that up to a point; but this can also be a means of avoiding actual results and of avoiding doing the work to apply what we’ve learned.
You know, doing this kind of work admittedly is challenging. Why? Because it’s confronting you. You have to deal with yourself, your REAL self. But it’s the only way to experience true freedom.
This is not an easy road and it’s certainly not for everyone. If you’re looking for the magic button or the quick fix, then growing yourself from the inside out is not likely a journey you’ll want to take. But it is the way to real and permanent freedom.
So while it takes commitment, the outcome is true freedom in your life.
While it is difficult and challenging, it’s well worth it. It’s tough to do this on your own. Yes, there are a few who do, but most people need a coach. (I know I did.)
So I will guide you every step of the way. I can see when people are on the hamster wheel of dissatisfaction – and I know how to pull them off and get them on the track that’s right for them.

Who do I work with?
I’ve had the privilege of working with healers, artists, school teachers, parents, dentists, doctors, corporate executives, housewives, truck drivers, as well as people from many different religions – Buddhists, Catholics, Rastafarians, Mormons, Wiccans, Baptists – it doesn’t matter… I’m not placing a program on them; I’m customizing something that’s uniquely designed for each person.
Yet what’s common among all of these people is that they have an inner drive and a commitment to know themselves better, to become more aware of themselves, how they show up in the world, and how they influence others. They are willing to work on themselves to have a life of freedom and a greater positive impact in the world.
What’s really possible?
