Several years have gone by since our last sessions and I thought I would provide you an update on my life and also say thank you for your guidance.

I had a wonderful session with Elise. She used a soft, reassuring voice, created a feeling of safety, and enabled me to be very creative. In the past few days, I have noticed the following:
-Related to the problems I was having with my throat/voice: I was at a large 3-day workshop and found myself taking leadership in one group with considerable ease. I also volunteered to be the reporter for another group and asked questions and volunteered information. I have been basically shy and yet this was all easy. I also speak openly and easily with my new supervisor now.
-During my session, Elise asked me if there are times when I feel like I am ‘not enough’. That has been a chronic life problem for me. Just lately though I have felt very centered, not overly arrogant, and not overly inadequate. I feel like I am enough, part of the universe, OK however I am.

Elise’s insights are universal in that they are about experiences we all have had. What makes her so special is that sometimes it feels like she’s right in my head and what she thinks about is exactly what I’m struggling with.
For example, the rude driver who cuts you off in traffic: instead of cursing silently or even out loud, think “maybe he really needs to get there because of an emergency”. You don’t know what motivates another and you can give them the benefit of the doubt. If you do this, the person you bless with peace is yourself.
