“The trick to blending work and play lies not in what you do, but in how you view what you do.” (Mike Dooley)
If you love it, it doesn’t feel like work. If you are engaged and having fun, then it doesn’t seem like you’re working.
If you’re following your passion and pursuing your dreams, then you love it, are engaged and are having fun!
And what about people who haven’t found a way to finance their lifestyle by doing what they love? There are a few options: a) do what you love on the side, in your free time, and enjoy it whenever you can, b) find a way to love what you already do for a living — what aspect of it is enjoyable and engaging for you?, c) change your lifestyle so it requires fewer resources to live, and then pursue what you love full-time.
However you manage to do it, it’s important to find a way to enjoy your life. And since so much of your life is spent making an income, it is ideal if you are having fun doing it.
How might you shift your perspective about your work? How might you incorporate more of what you love into your daily life?
Why is this so critical? Because when work is play, life is one big recess!
